You run a cottage, a chalet, a kayak activity or a restaurant. You know your offering is excellent. Your guests leave delighted. But attracting those guests is another story.
You've probably tried running ads on Facebook or Instagram. You put in €50, €100, maybe more. And the result? Hard to measure. Clicks, yes. But bookings? Impossible to tell which ones came from the ad and which would have come anyway.
The problem isn't your ad. The problem is that most websites lose a large portion of the data between the ad click and the final booking. Ad blockers, browser restrictions, cookies that vanish - everything conspires to make your campaigns blind.

What Hozy does differently
Hozy has rolled out a technology called server-side tracking - in practice, Meta Conversions API. Without getting into the technical details, here's what it changes for you:
Before - classic tracking
A visitor clicks on your Facebook ad → they land on your page → their browser blocks the cookie → Meta doesn't know whether they booked or not → your next campaign is less well targeted → you pay more for fewer results.
With Hozy - server-side tracking
A visitor clicks on your ad → they land on your Hozy page → the booking is recorded directly by our servers → Meta receives the confirmation → your next campaign targets profiles similar to those who actually booked → you pay less for more results.
The difference? The data no longer passes through the visitor's browser. It goes directly from our servers to Meta's. No ad blocker can intercept it. No cookie can expire. Every booking is counted.

This is the direct consequence of the two previous points. More reliable data = better targeting = less wasted budget = more bookings for the same investment.
Studies show that server-side tracking can improve campaign performance by 20 to 40% compared with classic cookie-based tracking. For a host spending €200 per month on advertising, that can represent 2 to 3 additional bookings.
How it works on Hozy
You don't have to configure anything. Server-side tracking is built natively into the Hozy platform. As soon as you publish your stay or activity, every interaction is automatically measured:
- Listing view - a visitor views your stay or activity
- Added to favorites - a visitor saves your place
- Booking request - a visitor starts a booking
- Booking confirmed - the payment is completed
- Added to an itinerary - a traveler includes your place in their trip
All this data is sent securely and anonymously to Meta (and soon Google) so that your ad campaigns target the right people.
Sponsoring your stay or activity
Hozy gives you the option to put your offering in front of travellers who are actively planning a trip to your region.
On Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
Your stay or activity can appear in the feed of travellers searching for a destination like yours. Thanks to server-side tracking, Meta knows precisely who has already shown interest in your type of offering - and prioritises those profiles.
Concretely, when a traveller searches for “weekend in the Ardennes” on Hozy, views stays similar to yours, or plans an itinerary in your region - those signals feed your Meta campaigns. Your ad no longer reaches random strangers. It reaches people who are already in a travel mindset.
On Google
Your Hozy listing is indexed and optimised for organic search. When a traveller searches for “Durbuy cottage” or “Bouillon activity” on Google, your Hozy page appears in the results. And with server-side tracking, every visit and every booking reinforces the relevance of your page.
A concrete example
Take Marie, who runs a 6-person chalet in the Ardennes at €150 per night.
Without Hozy
Marie spends €150 a month on Facebook advertising. She gets 3,000 impressions, 80 clicks, but has no idea how many booked via the ad. Meta doesn't receive a reliable conversion signal. The next month, the campaign targets more or less everyone. Marie pays €150 for maybe 1 booking.
With Hozy
Marie spends the same budget. Hozy sends Meta every confirmed booking through server-side tracking. Meta learns that couples aged 30-45 living in Brussels and Lille are the ones booking most. The next month, the campaign prioritises those profiles. Marie gets 3 to 4 bookings for the same budget.
Over a year, the difference can represent thousands of euros in additional revenue.
Why it's included in Hozy
We could have charged extra for this feature. Some platforms do - they sell “advanced tracking” as a premium add-on.
We made a different choice. Server-side tracking is included for all hosts and activity providers on Hozy. Because it's in our shared interest: when your campaigns perform better, you get more bookings. And when you get more bookings, Hozy grows.

Server-side tracking is live on the two largest ad platforms: Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and Google Ads. Your campaigns are optimised on both sides from day one.
We're also working on a dedicated host dashboard that will show you in real time how many views, favourites and bookings your listing generates - and where your visitors come from.
