What to see in Vaduz ?
21 places curated by Hozy - landmarks, nature, hidden restaurants and activities.
MAP · OVERVIEW
Vaduz is a capital that fits within a few pedestrian streets, dominated by Schloss Vaduz, the residence of the princely family, visible from everywhere but closed to the public. Liechtenstein is a serious, discreet state whose economy rests on finance and precision engineering-not tourism, and you feel that quiet in the town centre's atmosphere.
Half a day suffices to work through Vaduz, ideally in spring or autumn to dodge the tour coaches crossing between Austria and Switzerland. The Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein warrants a proper visit. Come on foot or by bike from Schaan or Sargans station on the Swiss side-there's no station in Vaduz itself. Don't bother looking for nightlife: the town empties after 6pm.
